Investigating the role of athletes' perception of clubs' supportive behavior on athletes turnover in superior leagues

Abstract
Purpose:Study the structure of successful sports clubs has shown that employment of experienced coaching tem and the satisfaction of athletes from sports clubs' adherence to commitments and sports contracts are the basis factors in noun turnover and contract renewal. When the club policies are not in line with individual needs and sports progress of the athletes, or when the athletes do not receive supportive behaviors from the coaches and the club, they intend to turnover. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to identify the effective factors in athlete's turnover in the country's sports super league.
Methodology:This research was an exploratory method research. In the qualitative phase, 10 professional athletes and 5 Super League coaches participated in the interview by snowball sampling. The election codes included club structural factors, adherence to club financial payments, coaches' supportive behaviors and access to sports equipment. In the quantitative phase, 65 volleyball, basketball and soccer players of the country's Super League selected by targeted sampling and the questionnaire extracted from the qualitative phase, was provided to athletes. To data analysis PLS-3 software used (P≤0.05).
Results:The factorial analysis of the data showed that the athletes' perception of the supportive behavior of the coaches and top managers (0.66), good financial contract and the adherence of the clubs to timely financial payments (0.61) and equipment and suitable sports field to athlete's progress (0.57) had the highest coefficient. Also, the level of training knowledge of coaches and the presence of national team coaches, providing factors for athletes' progress by club managers and predicting incentive packages have a motivating effect on the renewal of sports contracts.
Conclusion:Managers of sports clubs are suggested by study the structural of successful clubs, by employing coaches who are familiar with effective team management styles, and by reasonable financial contracts that are appropriate to the clubs' income sources, in addition to long-term maintenance of athletes, provide the conditions for income generation through participation in international tournaments
