Reflecting the social functions of sport in Bourdieu's thoughts

Abstract
" Bourdieu" in the field of sports sociology, works such as "Sociology of Sports" (1988), "How to be an athlete?" (1978), "Sociology is a combat sport" (2001) and "Distinction: social critique of judgment" (1979). He believed that sports is not just a physical and physiological phenomenon, but a social and cultural phenomenon. According to her, sports and any physical activities are formed in connection with the surrounding social environment. . Bourdieu considers sports as one of the aspects of distinguishing social classes and one of the cultural indicators of any society, which separates classes from each other. He believed that one can recognize their class and culture from their sports reflexes and physical activities. . This French sociologist envisioned multiple social, cultural, political, educational and educational functions for modern sports.
Bourdieu considers modern sports as a part of the new education process and considers the function of this type of sports in boarding schools to be an educational function.
