Abstract
The present study was designed to investigate the effect of aerobic physical fatigue on coincidence anticipation timing (CAT) task. For this purpose, 15 athletic male (19-25 years) of shiraz university, participated in the study voluntarily. Each subjects, practiced in an aerobic fatigue protocol until exhaustion and perfomed coincidence anticipation timing (CAT) using test of Basin device at the time of rest and fatigue. First, the subjects carried out 3 attempts as a pre-test by at rest. Then, after participating in aerobic fatigue protocol (Cooper 12-minute test), each subject did 3 attempts. We recorded the absolute error of the subjects as a measure of the overall accuracy of the execution. In this research, we used the statistical method of analysis of variance with the design of repeated measurements at rest and after fatigue from activity in Cooper aerobic protocol. We compared the CAT changes of subjects before and after fatigue protocol. The results of subject`s absolute error (AE) that present the overall accuracy were analyzed. Results showed that aerobic physical fatigues caused a significant increase in AE. The results of dependent t-test showed that there was a significant difference between the rest conditions and the fatigue resulting from aerobic physical activity and the absolute error of the subjects' anticipation in the CAT test increased. The effect of physical fatigue on information processing seems to be under influence of physiological factors of exercise. This finding indicate that information processing system can be affected by physical exhaustion. Therefore, we can expect that by the fatigue, processing system will not be able to perform the analysis properly
