Abstract
Background: Sports tourism is considered a new phenomenon in the tourism industry. Sports is a very good way to gather different peoples and nations together to share their joys and excitements.. Despite the considerable capacities that exist in the tourism industry, especially sports tourism in Iran, but this industry Due to various structural weaknesses, it has not yet been able to flourish and play a significant role in the national economy. One of the factors that should play an essential role in the promotion and development of tourism, especially sports tourism, but at the same time it has received less attention, is technology.
Objective and methodology: applied and based on the method of data collection, it is a correlational description. The tool of data collection was a researcher-made questionnaire. Its formal and content validity was confirmed by a group of academic professors. After the modifications, the final questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale with a range (very low = 1 to very high = 5) was set for the preliminary study (guideline). The statistical population of the research includes all tourism experts and travel agencies, tourists and physical education experts of Tehran, numbering 1700 people. Using Morgan's table, 313 people were selected as available. In order to analyze the data of this research, descriptive statistics were used and non-parametric statistical method (chi-square test) was used to check the correlation between qualitative variables. Also, SPSS version 23 software was used to calculate the data.
Results: The development of technology and its use has a significant positive relationship with the attraction of sports tourism; The development of sports tourism has a significant positive relationship with the employment of physical education students, and the development of sports tourism has a significant positive relationship with the development of sports, cultural and service-welfare infrastructures.
Conclusion: The use of technology (information and communication technology) can lead to the development of sports tourism attraction and in this way develop sports, cultural and entertainment infrastructures and create jobs for physical education graduates.
