The effect of intellectual capital on job performance according to the mediating role of organizational learning of employees of sports and youth departments in Golestan province

Abstract
Background: For the success of organizations, paying attention to intangible factors and the relationship between them is of particular importance.
Purpose: the purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of intellectual capital on the job performance of the employees of the Sports and Youth Department of Golestan province, considering the mediating role of organizational learning.
Methodology: The current research is of the correlational type in terms of its applied purpose and its descriptive methodology. The statistical population of the research includes all employees of the sports and youth departments of Golestan province, whose number is about 220 people. According to Morgan's table and according to the population size, 140 people were considered as the statistical sample of the research. In this research, to collect the required information, a combined intellectual capital questionnaire (Bentis, 1998), job performance questionnaire (Patterson, 2008), and organizational learning (Nifeh, 2001) were used. Cronbach's alpha of the questionnaires was obtained as 0.95, 0.86, and 0.82 respectively, so the questionnaires have the necessary reliability. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the data and Smart PLS software was used for the inferential analysis of the data.
Results: The results of the research showed that intellectual capital has a positive and significant effect on the job performance of the employees of the Sports and Youth Department of Golestan province. Also, the results state that if organizational learning is considered a mediating variable, it can have a significant effect on the relationship between intellectual capital and job performance.
Conclusion: Finally, it can be concluded that job performance improves if organizations value their intellectual capital and create value from intangible assets.
