Identifying the requirements for the establishment of value-based strategic management in sports organizations

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to identify the essentials of value-based strategic management in sports organizations. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of the method of data collection, and a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods was used to collect and analyze data in order to achieve the strategic management of sports sector in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces. There were 214 managers, consultants, staff of sports organization headquarters, managers and heads of deputy physical education department of sports organizations of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces. Also, in the qualitative part, the participants were 11 professors from the field of strategic management. The sampling method was estimated as a full count. In total, about 111 people will be selected through the purposeful snowball sampling method. Questionnaire, interview, and SWOT matrix were used to collect information, and to identify threats, opportunities, and strengths and weaknesses. The results of a sample T-Tech test related to the effectiveness of strategic management and its components showed that the effectiveness of strategic management in the field of sports is significantly in an unfavorable situation; Also, the components of clarity of strategies, insight into goals and missions, attention to stakeholders, alignment, creating value for the organization, matching with the structure, specialization, employee satisfaction, participation, creating commitment, and flexibility are in an unfavorable situation; In the explanation of the obtained result, it can be stated that strategic management helps managers to better manage the most valuable capital of the organization, i.e. the employees of the organization.
