Abstract
Introduction and purpose: Rhythmic movements are general activities, mixed with art and movement, and include extensive leaping and jumping movements. The most common injuries are related to this field of the knee joint. Therefore, the aim of this research is to investigate the effect of a course of manual therapy on the pain and shortness of the hamstrings of women performing rhythmic movements with non-specific chronic
.knee pain
Materials and methods: Materials and methods: The current research is semi-experimental (pre-test and post-test). The current research was conducted by rhythmic movements women of Alborz province, 20 of them were selected based on the entry and exit criteria and were randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. The first group included manual therapy for 6 weeks and 3 sessions per week and each session lasted between 15 and 30 minutes, and the second group performed rhythmic exercises. In the pre-test and post-test phase, the dependent variables including pain and shortness of hamstring muscles were measured using pain questionnaire and goniometer, and for the statistical
.analysis of the present study, dependent t-tests, covariance analysis and spss software were measured 22 were used
Results: The findings of the research showed that the effect of a course of manual therapy on pain (p<0.001), hamstring shortening (p<0.001) in
.rhythmic movements of women with non-specific chronic knee pain had a significant effect
Discussion and Conclusion: The results of the research show that the manual therapy protocol can be used as a targeted method to reduce pain and relieve the symptoms of hamstring shortening in the knee joint in women with rhythmic movements with non-specific chronic knee pain in
order to prevent secondary damage and improve performance
