Abstract
Abstract
The general purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of TRX training on cardiovascular endurance and muscular endurance of female runners. The subjects included 30 female runners living in Kerman with an age range of 16 to 30 years who had at least three years of experience in athletics. The subjects were randomly divided into 2 groups of 15 people including: 1. control 2. exercise (TRX) according to the choice of the examinees. The tools used included Pele-Harvard cardio-respiratory endurance test and lower body muscular endurance test (including: leg press movement with 60% weight of one maximum repetition). The TRX training protocol included the implementation of 5 types of movements, which followed the principle of overload by increasing the number of repetitions once every two weeks. The movements used in TRX exercises included the movements: suspended launch of both legs, squat, TRX lateral lunge, hamstring rotation and TRX long abducted movement, which were performed to strengthen the quadriceps muscles, leg muscles, gluteal muscles and hamstring muscles. Cardio-respiratory endurance and muscular endurance tests were taken before and after eight weeks of intervention. To analyze the data, the Kolmogorov Smirnov test, the covariance analysis test, and the post hoc Bonferroni test were used to examine the differences between groups. The results showed that TRX exercises, in addition to having a significant effect on lower body muscular endurance, also had a significant and positive effect on cardio-respiratory endurance among female runners. Therefore, it is recommended to use this device due to its cheapness and availability, ease of operation, no noise and safety; It will make resistance training possible for different people, and it can be useful for people who exercise and are bankrupt. The results of this research indicate the usefulness of TRX as a tool for performing resistance exercises and increasing cardio-respiratory endurance and muscular endurance.
