Systematic review of the economic benefits of developing championship sports

Abstract
The sports industry can be defined as the marketing of goods and services related to sports. From a broader perspective, the position of sports with all its dimensions is in economic systems. In the past half century, whenever development was mentioned, the concept of "economic development" immediately came to mind. Sports development is also an important part of economic-social development. Championship sports, as an important part of every country's sports, are no exception to this rule. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out how the development of championship sports happens and how it can be more effective for the development of economic indicators of individuals and societies?
Methods: The method of this research is descriptive and practical in terms of purpose, and according to the implementation method, it is a systematic or systematic review. In this research, the time period chosen to search for documents was between 2000 and 2022, which were examined to find English sources in Embase, Scopus, PubMed and Google Scholar databases and using keywords related to the research.
Results: Based on the obtained results, achieving sports success in international competitions is affected by various factors. Knowing these effective factors in sports success can help in the development of sports programs. Also, we can mention the unique role of holding sports events in development, especially in the development of championship sports.
Conclusion: The development of sports seems to be linked with championship sports. Countries need to produce science in the field of sports to achieve success in championship sports. Also, the training of researchers in the field of sports and development can be one of the most important factors for the success of countries in the coming years in achieving success in championship sports.
