Abstract
Abstract
Background: Strengthening Abdominal muscles, Core muscles and Intrinsic back muscles, is one of the practical ways to improve the performance of taekwondo practitioners in performing balance movements and techniques. By performing these strengthening exercises, the performance of taekwondo players can be improved in recording better scores.

Objectives: This research was conducted with the aim of the effectiveness of muscle strengthening exercises in improving the performance and improving the balance techniques record of Yeop chagi (Side Kick) and Ap chagi (Front Kick) Taekwondo athletes of Hamedan

Materials and methods: The statistical population of young Taekwondo athletes working in the clubs of Hamedan city in 2023-2024, 20 people were randomly selected and placed in 2 experimental Group (10 people) and control Group (10 people). In order to collect data in both the pre-test and post-test stages in both the experimental and control groups, the practical implementation of the balance Yeop chugi and Ap chugi techniques was used. Data analysis was done using the independent t statistical method due to the comparison of the averages of the two groups.

Results: The mean and standard deviation of the experimental group's post-test performance in the techniques of balance Yeop chugi and Ap chugi were obtained (00:17.36 ± 01:02.26) and (00:07.25 ± 00:51.64) respectively. The results showed; Performing exercises to strengthen the lower body muscles, Core muscles along with Intrinsic back muscles has an effect on improving the performance and improving the record of taekwondo athletes in performing balance Yeop chugi and Ap chugi techniques (P≤0.05).

Conclusion: The continuous and regular implementation of muscle strengthening exercises can cause the growth and improvement of the performance of young taekwondo athletes compared to other peers and provide the conditions for membership in selected teams and consequently membership in national teams for these athletes.
