Investigating the obstacles to the development of native-local games in elementary schools

Abstract
Introduction:Sports and games have a fundamental role in the structure of schools. Native and local sports are attractive and popular entertainment among students, especially elementary school students; which has maintained its special position over the centuries.
Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the obstacles to the implementation of these games in elementary schools.
Method: The research method was qualitative. The research tool was semi-structured interview The statistical population of the present study included all experts in physical education and sports in elementary schools and native-local games) University professors, experienced and educated teachers, experts and officials of education departments, officials of native and local games boards( . Sampling was done by snowball method (chain reference). Theoretical saturation was achieved by conducting 14 interviews. Coding was done using the three-step method of Charms And open, central and selective codes were determined.
Results : the number of 6 selective codes or obstacles affecting the development of native and local games in elementary schools, including media interference and environmental factors, cultural-social factors, economic factors, organizational factors, and the lack of specific laws and regulations for games Were identified.
Conclusion: According to these results, it seems that appropriate legal, economic, cultural and social support is needed to promote native and local games in elementary schools. Also, providing appropriate financial resources for the implementation of these games and preventing media interference and marginalization will play an effective role in realizing this goal which helps to strengthen the social and moral communication of students, With the attractiveness and excitement that these games have, it provides the maximum participation of students in sports activities and prepares students for a healthier presence in the society.
