Abstract
Background: Today, donors have gained significant value as suppliers of sustainable financial resources for sports organizations.
Aim: The aim of research is to Identification and Ranking of Barriers and factors affecting the attraction of donors for the development of infrastructure and equipping sports facilities and sustainable financing.
Methodology: The research was exploratory and was conducted using a mixed research method. In the qualitative part, 20 university experts and donors were interviewed in a targeted manner. The statistical population of the quantitative part was sports managers, expert experts of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and academic staff members of the sports management field in Tehran province; 208 people were selected by the stratified random method. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire, which was adjusted according to a review and the answers of the qualitative interview. After confirming validity (expert opinion) and reliability (Cronbach's alpha coefficient), the questionnaires were distributed and completed among the statistical sample. Data analysis was done by Kolmogorov Smirnov test, confirmatory factor analysis and Friedman test with Spss26 and SmartPLS3.0 software.
Results: The results of the qualitative part showed that 10 cases were identified for the factors and obstacles of sustainable financing and attraction of donors for the development of infrastructure and equipping of sports facilities. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that 9 cases were factors and 7 cases were barriers to attracting donors, 7 cases were barriers and 6 cases were factors of sustainable financing. The results of Friedman’s test indicated that "disloyalty of sports fans toward sports sponsors and their products" for attracting donors is the highest among the obstacles and "activating committees to attract the participation of sports donors" has the highest rank among the factors. They attracted benefactors. "Limitation and ineffectiveness of the financial management system and provision of resources in sports" were the highest ranked among the obstacles to sustainable financing and "creating support and charity funds in sports" were the highest ranked among the factors of sustainable financing.
Conclusion: In general, providing sustainable financial resources in the field of sports development requires the use of a combination of these factors.
