Abstract
Type 2 diabetes is a disease in which insulin resistance and beta cell dysfunction together increase blood glucose levels and can lead to cell damage and death or apoptosis. The aim of the present was to Study of apoptotic changes of caspase 3 and 9 proteins and cytochrome c of heart tissue after HIIT and thyme honey in type 2 diabetic rats. Method: The statistical population consisted of rats. After 20 weeks of high fat diet and intraperitoneal injection of 25 ml / kg STZ became diabetic. Fasting glucose between 150 mg / dl and 400 was the type 2 type 2 diabetic criterion. Rats in 4 groups : control (n=6), HIIT(n= 8), thyme honey (n= 6), HIIT - thyme honey (n=8). The training protocol was performed as eight weeks of HIIT, five sessions per week with intense 2-minute intense alternation with 2 to 8 alternations and with 80 to 90% vo2max and one-minute rest alternation with 50 to 56% vo2max. Thyme honey was given by gavage at a rate of 3 g / kg 5 days a week. The Rats were then anesthetized and sacrificed by ether. Glucose was measured using an autoanalyzer. Insulin was measured using an insulin kit by ELISA and expression of Caspase3, Caspse9 and Cytochrome C genes by RT-PCR was also calculated. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS22 software and two-factor analysis of variance test and determining the effect size and Bonfroni post hoc. Compared to the control group, HIIT led to a significant reduction in glucose and insulin resistance index. Periodic exercise increased the expression of caspase3, caspase9 and cytochrome c genes in heart cells compared to the control group (P <0.05), which decreased its consumption of thyme honey in the interactive group. Conclusion: Compared to the control group, HIIT led to a significant reduction in glucose and insulin resistance index. HIIT increased the expression of caspase3, caspase9 and cytochrome c genes in cardiac cells compared to the control group (P >0.05), which Consumption of thyme honey reduced it in the interactive group.
