Abstract
Introduction:
One of the most important problems in society is chronic pain that affects the quality of life of people, particularly patients with lumbar_disc herniation. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of 8 weeks of TRX exercises on the functional balance and quality of life of middle-aged women with lumbar_disc herniation.

Analysis method:
In order to conduct this research, 30 middle-aged women with disc herniation were purposefully selected and divided equally and randomly into two control and experimental groups. This was done to evaluate functional balance and quality of life using the TUG, LFR, and FFR tests, respectively. The Timed Up and Go (TUG) test, Limits of Stability (LFR), Functional Reach (FFR), and quality of life questionnaire (SF-36) were used in two stages: pre-test and post-test.
The TRX training program was implemented by the experimental group for 8 weeks, with 3 sessions per week and 1 hour per session. After collecting data, analysis was done using descriptive and inferential statistics. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS version 24 software.

Findings:
Statistical analysis showed that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test in the functional balance of the experimental group by doing TRX exercises (P < 0.05). The average overall quality of life in the experimental group is 55.56, which is significantly higher than the control group with a value of 68.47 (P = 0.025). Additionally, the average quality of life in the general dimensions of physical health (P = 0.028) and mental health (P = 0.014) is significantly higher than the control group.

Conclusion:
The findings of the present study showed that performing 8 weeks of TRX exercises has improved the functional balance and quality of life of women with herniated discs. Therefore, this type of exercise program is recommended for women with herniated discs.
