Abstract

Introduction and purpose: Economics has always been a part of sports. In other words, currently no sport is planned and implemented without considering financial and economic issues. Entrepreneurship in the direction of economic work related to sports can improve and develop professional sports in a country.
Methodology: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between entrepreneurship and economic work in the development of professional sports in Razavi Khorasan Province. The statistical population of the research was employees and high and middle managers of the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of Khorasan Razavi. The research method was descriptive and analytical.
Results: The results of the research showed that entrepreneurship and economic work play an effective role in the development of professional sports, and in other words, there is a positive and meaningful relationship between economic work and the development of professional sports. So that if the financial and economic environment is ready for a professional athlete, the concentration and efficiency of that athlete will increase significantly. Also, the results of the research showed that the amount of professional sports medals in international arenas such as world championships and Olympic games has a positive and significant relationship with the economic issues of a professional athlete. A professional athlete who is financially secure can have more championship focus in international arenas and the professional life of the athlete will also increase.
Conclusion: According to the results of the research, it can be concluded that a professional athlete who competes at the international level, such as the World Championships and the Olympic Games, must have sufficient economic focus and financial issues in his professional career and championship. reach the smallest possible way so that the athlete can have the best effect in his career. One of these economic activities is entrepreneurship, which can have a significant impact on the development of championship sports. Therefore, it is recommended that economic issues as well as entrepreneurship in sports should be seriously pursued and used to develop and advance the international goals of professional sports.
