Abstract
Background and aim: Physical disability and Movement Disorders are one of the most common types of disabilities in exceptional students in Iran and in the world. One of the most important characteristics of these students is that despite their disability, they are able to study in regular schools. Numerous studies have been conducted in the world to improve the health and well-being of people with physical disabilities. These studies have shown that physical activity and sports training can have a very important place in the physical and mental rehabilitation process of these people. By clarifying the role of this position, policy makers are trying to develop physical education programs in the schools where these students study.
Methodology: The researchers of the sport science research Institute of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in a scientific research ordered by the Organization of Exceptional Education of Iran, by reviewing numerous studies conducted in the field of sports sciences, attempted to compile scientific content for teaching physical education lessons to students with physical disabilities and movement disorders. The first and main goal of this research was to determine the goals of the physical education curriculum for students with physical disabilities and movement disorders.
Results: Based on the results obtained in this research, the main goals of this course include increasing physical activity and developing motor behaviors, developing well-being, increasing motivation Physical activity and sports practice, Development of psychological characteristics in students with physical and motor disabilities, Development of inclusive education and removal of obstacles and problems, Cultivation and change of attitudes by development of physical activity and sports, development of motor developments and physical fitness in people with physical and motor disabilities.
Conclusion: The researchers hope that with the publication of this produced content, the exceptional education organization of the country will be able to introduce not only teachers and educational staff, but also managers, policy makers and families with scientific and up-to-date knowledge at the world level, in order to promote physical education program for students with physical disabilities in our country.
