The relationship between sports participation and feeling of security and social vitality in women of Bushehr province in Iran

Objective: The feeling of security in women is less than that of men. The security situation for the society is not hidden from anyone. It is one of the basic human needs, which is a fundamental right for the survival and promotion of the well-being and vitality of the society. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate sports participation with a sense of security and social vitality in women of Bushehr province.
Methodology: The current research method was descriptive-correlation and applied in tems of purpose, and the date was collected by field method. The statistical population of the research was made up of all the women of Bushehr province in Iran, who were selected through convenience sampling. Due to the unknown number of the community and based on the Morgan table, 460 people were considered as a statistical sample. the research tools included three questionnaires of sport participation (Sharkley, 1999) and sense of security (Taheri, 1388) and the social vitality (Tamizifar and Azizimehr, 1396), whose face validity was checked and confirmed by sport management professors and its reliability in a guided study using Cronbach's alphabet test was obtained as 0/75, 0/83 and 0/92 respectively. Data analysis was done using 19 SPSS software.
Finding: Descriptive and inferential statistics methods were used to analyze the data. Also, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used for the normality of the data. The obtained results showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between sports participation and financial security (sig=/03, r=/09), but there is no significant and positive relationship between sports participation and personal safety, collective security, and sense of security. There is a positive and significant relationship between sports participation and social vitality (sig=/00, r=/19), also there is a significant and positive relationship between the feeling of security and all its components (financial security, life security and collective security) with social vitality.
