Effects of handball training on the social development of female high school students in a district of Ahvaz city

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of handball training on the social development of female high school students in a district of Ahvaz city. The method of this study is seminperimental. The statistical population of this research was made up of all female high school students in district one of Ahvaz city (N = 6116). The statistical sample of this research was selected in such a way that first, the social development questionnaire was randomly given to 200 people from the mentioned society. After that, according to the results of this test, the number of 40 people who had the lowest score, that is, they had the lowest level of social growth among the participants, were selected as a statistical sample. The four exercise sections, which emphasize dimensions of social development, were performed for 15 minutes. Then, at the end of each practice session, a practice game is played. 15-minute rest time was given to people in different intervals of the exercise, and in between, various instructions were given about the exercise and how to perform it.To to measurement of social development was used from Weitzman questionnaire. The reliability of this questionnaire accepted by kronbakh alpha. To Analysis of datas from deviation , mean number of experiments, variance Analysis, solidarity coefficient, t test were used. Also the comparison , results of control and experimental groups revealed that after handball training had significant changes on social development and all of aspects , except hopefulness and optimism.(p<0/05).
It can be concluded that practicing handball as a group sport provides opportunities for the development and improvement of students' social development.
