Investigating the effect of the mindfulness model based on improving sports performance on the sports performance of elite young wrestlers

Abstract
Introduction: In recent years, focusing on the mental processes of athletes and its potential capabilities has attracted the attention of many psychologists and cognitive science specialists, so the purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the mindfulness model based on improving sports performance on the sports performance of young wrestlers. It was elite.
Research method: The present study was a clinical trial with pre-test, post-test and follow-up with a control group. The statistical population of this research included the young elite wrestlers of Hamedan province, 20 young elite wrestlers were selected as available sampling with an average age of 18.15 ± 2.12 years and a sports experience of 9 ± 4.15 years. Two experimental and control groups were divided, so that the experimental group received the mindfulness intervention program based on improving sports performance during 7 weeks, all the wrestlers in the research were evaluated by complex Stroop tests, continuous performance, Tower of London and sports performance scale. . Therefore, repeated measures MANOVA and ANOVA were used to analyze the data.
Findings: The findings of the present study showed that mindfulness training based on improving sports performance has significantly improved sustained attention, selective attention and planning at the level of (P ≥ 0.05). Therefore, the results regarding the sports performance scale also showed that the athletes showed a progressive trend during the intervention and follow-up period.
Conclusion: Mindfulness training based on improving sports performance can be effective in improving the cognitive and sports performance of young elite wrestlers, and its application along with physical exercises will improve their sports performance.
