Abstract
Professional turnover rate is an important priority and issue that affects organizations in different ways. An employee's decision to leave the organization not only leads to financial and non-financial costs for the organization, but also leads to the loss of the company's competitive advantages. Coaches are very important for the development of sports culture and sports organizations know that the retention of coaches is important to maintain the quality of sports. The purpose of the present study was to Identify factors affecting job retention of swimming Coaches. This research is based on the method of data collection descriptive-survey that was conducted in the field. The statistical population was swimming coaches in East Azarbaijan province (773 persons), 300 persons as sample were selected through stratified-random sampling method. First, by studying the background and then conducting ten semi-structured interviews with experts, researcher-made questionnaire were prepared to identify and measure the job retention factors of swimming coaches. The content and face validity of the research instrument was confirmed by ten experts and its construct validity was confirmed by exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis based on structural equation modeling. Data was analyzed by SPSS23 and AMOS23 software. Data analysis showed that eight factors: training, working environment, reward systems, fair treatment, teamwork, concern for organization, job satisfaction and health are effective in job retention of swimming coaches. Identifying the factors affecting the job retention of swimming coaches makes it possible for managers to increase the job retention and improve the professional conditions of swimming coaches by measuring, considering and paying more attention to these factors.
