Challenges and strategies to maintain the survival of sports clubs in times of crisis

Abstract
The purpose of the present study was the challenges and strategies to maintain the survival of sports clubs during the crisis in Tehran. The method of the present study was qualitative according to the purpose of the research. The statistical population of this research will be the officials and experts who are active in the field of sports management and also the officials and managers of sports clubs; Which were selected by purposive sampling method and snowball sampling technique that 13 people were identified as the statistical population. After implementing the interviews, conceptual codes were identified from the text of the interviews, and the text of the interviews was analyzed. Data analysis was performed simultaneously and continuously with data collection. To analyze the data, the approach theory data theory method (Glazer, 1978) was used to extract the concepts. Explicit and implicit concepts were identified using this method. In this study, three stages of open coding, axial coding and selective coding were performed. For validity in this study, based on four criteria of validity, verification, reliability and transferability proposed by Goba and Lincoln (1989) were considered to increase the quality of research. Maxiquida software was used to analyze the data. The results showed that the challenges of maintaining the survival of sports clubs in times of crisis included health infrastructure, technical infrastructure, human resources, financial and economic factors, physical and psychological challenges and lack of financial support. Strategies for maintaining the survival of sports clubs in times of crisis also included management factors, the provision of electronic infrastructure, financial support, countermeasures for manpower, the use of crisis management planning, and support factors.
