Abstract
In the last few years, along with the increase in the repetition and variety of abuse in sports, the focus of researchers on the concept of caring for athletes has increased. Since the athlete's protective system consists of different components and the relationships between them and the outside. System environment, analysis of such a system will be complex. Therefore, managing the protection of athletes requires providing and using an efficient system model to advance its mission.
The current research method is qualitative research in the form of thematic analysis, and the statistical population includes experts (athletes, coaches, federation managers, academic researchers, media activists) in the field of national athletes. Purposive sampling and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 18 participants until theoretical saturation. In order to analyze the data, coding technique and NVivo software were used.
The findings showed that the athlete protection framework includes 188 codes and 56 concepts in the form of five main topics. Individual and social support, finding the context and feasibility of implementing the system and program to support athletes, organizations and institutions related to supporting athletes, strategies and implementation solutions to protect and implement the processes of supporting athletes and eleven sub-topics; Individual protection, the involvement of related roles, protection obstacles and challenges, the capacities and capabilities of the implementation of the protection system, the results and consequences of protection, macro and national protection institutions, executive and operational protection institutions, protection strategies, protection implementation solutions, the implementation of protection management processes and processes has been.
Based on the findings, the protection of athletes against persecution and dangers in the sports and social environment has different axes and complex conditions, and without the use of a scientific framework and a suitable system map, it is not possible to provide adequate coverage of athletes in the protection of it. Therefore, it is suggested that the results of this research, in addition to the managerial and organizational fields, be used at the scientific, scientific, media and social levels so that the protection of athletes becomes first a discourse and then a national one System.
