Abstract
Today, students are considered one of the important groups due to the role they will play in the future for the society and the country, and their physical and mental health has always been examined due to their special age conditions. Today, everyone faces different combinations of necessities and incompatibilities in life, and each of us breaks down if life conditions become difficult, even those who are stubborn and steadfast people suffer from psychological problems under stressful conditions and the opportunity They lose the enjoyment of life.
The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of regular interval exercise and yoga on reducing stress in students aged 18 to 25 years of Gombad Kavus Azad University. The research community was among the students of the entrance courses of 1400-1401 of this university. In this research, 76 students who were eligible for the study were divided into two experimental and control groups by systematic random sampling. The test group did the intervention program (six weeks of yoga exercise activity), but the researcher did not do any intervention in the control group. This research was an interventional study of the randomized controlled trial type. The results of the research showed that there was a significant difference between the mean of coping style, avoidance, restraint, seeking social support, thoughtful problem solving, positive reappraisal, responsibility, problem-oriented, emotion-oriented before and after the intervention in the test group, but There was no statistically significant difference between the mean of avoidance and avoidance before and after the intervention in the test group. The results of the present study showed that regular interval and yoga activities can be effective on the mental health of students through the efficient use of coping methods against stress.
