Occupational pathology of referees of Iran's premier basketball league

Abstract
Introduction: The purpose of the current research was the occupational pathology of referees in the Iranian Premier Basketball League.
Materials and methods: The present research method is descriptive-analytical and applied in terms of purpose, including qualitative research by interview method. which deals with the occupational pathology of Iranian basketball referees using qualitative methods of content analysis and fuzzy Delphi method. All statistical population; The experts in the field of refereeing were referee instructors (Federation teachers), referee supervisors, referee veterans and active referees of the Premier League of Iran Basketball Federation, whose number was not precisely known. The sampling method was carried out in a targeted manner and interviews were conducted from the sample people in person (some of them due to the lack of virtual access) until theoretical saturation, and finally 13 people were selected as the sample.
Findings: The results showed that there are 11 subcategories in the field of occupational injuries of referees in the Iranian Premier Basketball League. It has also been determined that the structural injuries of referees in Iran's premier basketball league include things such as; There were intra-personal problems, financial problems, educational problems, and management problems, on the other hand, the job-related injuries of referees of the Iranian Premier Basketball League include things such as; The problems related to the federation's policies were cultural problems and social problems, and finally, the occupational injuries of referees of the Iranian Premier Basketball League included things such as; There were moral problems, physical problems, communication problems and technical problems.
Conclusion: These identified injuries were identified in order to reduce the problems, and finally, solutions were provided to overcome these injuries, which hopefully will help the refereeing job and reduce the injuries.
