Abstract
The role of media literacy and educational innovation in empowering sports education in schools of Qazvin province
Empowering sports education is important in creating positive attitudes and values that help students' personal and social growth. The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of media literacy and educational innovation in empowering sports education in schools in Qazvin province. This research was applied and the research method was a descriptive survey. The statistical population of the research was made up of all the physical education teachers of the schools of Qazvin province, numbering 530 people. The sample size was 222 people using the Cochran formula and the sampling method was a random cluster. The tools for collecting information in this research were Elizabeth Toman's media literacy questionnaire (1998), logical educational innovation questionnaire (2014) and Sayadi et al.'s (2014) educational empowerment questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed through face and content validity, and the reliability of the questionnaires was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. In order to test the hypotheses, the structural equation model and SmartPLS version 2 and SPSS version 18 software were used. The results of data analysis showed that media literacy and its components have a positive and significant effect on empowering sports education in schools of Qazvin province. Educational innovation and its components have a positive and significant effect on empowering sports education in schools of Qazvin province. According to the results, it is possible to improve the empowerment of education in schools by using media literacy and educational innovations.
