A review study of sports fan researches in Iranian scientific research journals

Abstract
The aim of this study was reviewing sport fan articles in Iran's scientific journals. To this extend, content analysis method was used in this study. So, all articles in sport fan area surfed in Iran's sport management journal in last decades from 2013 to 2023. In this survey 177 articles was identified which eighty four of them were suitable to enter the main process of analysis in survey. Three coders were used to analysis data which coefficient of agreement metrics among them was acceptable. Descriptive statistics (frequency tables, frequency percentage) and scot exam was used for analyzing data using excel 2020 software. Findings revealed that variables as stadium attendance, loyalty and branding were the most repetition in articles. The most repeated method in researches was quantitative method. The most amount of printed articles was in 1398 and football was target group of the most researchers. After football other sports like volleyball, basketball, handball and wrestling were the area of research in this context. Results even showed that during this 10 years, the most focus on sport fans was 2020 with 14 papers exactly after a shortage of interest in this topic at 2019 with only 4 studies. Despite of new trends and technologies in fan area, it's seemed to be less important in Iranians researches mind. So, it's recommended to future researchers to focus on international trends and new techs in this area of fan and fan engagement to provide backgrounds for the design and implementation of advocacy programs to implement by fan managers.
