Investigating the effect of consumers' attitudes on the sale of sports protein supplements in bodybuilding clubs in Borujerd

Abstract
Healthy eating and regular physical activity are behaviors that promote health, therefore, encouraging athletes to develop healthy nutritional behaviors and perform regular sports activities is one of the public health priorities of the society. Today, the use of these substances to increase sports performance has expanded a lot, and a large group of athletes in different fields have a history of using these substances or are currently using them. Strength athletes and above all body builders are the most users of drugs and supplements. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of consumers' attitudes on the sale of sports protein supplements in bodybuilding clubs in Borujerd. The current research is applied in terms of the purpose of the research and descriptive-survey in terms of the data collection method, which was conducted in the field. The statistical community includes all bodybuilding athletes of Borujerd city who have or have not used sports supplements; The number of active bodybuilding clubs in Borujerd city was estimated to be 20, and 1500 professional and semi-professional athletes are active in them. Finally, 306 people were selected as a research sample using Morgan's table by simple random sampling method. Data collection was done in two ways: library and field. The instrument of the current research was a standard questionnaire. In this research, the attitude and behavior subscale is used. SPSS statistical software was used to analyze the data. The results indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between consumer attitude and the sale of sports protein supplements (r=0.278).
